The credit check that cleared everything, and a shelf of general stock

  • The credit audit was reporting zero required credits for CHEF! while 13 files needed one. It's the check that confirms a game shows every attribution its sounds require, so a false all-clear is worse than having no check at all. Three bugs, all found by comparing its answer with a hand count. It read only bulleted lists while deliveries are written as tables. A catch-all row for "every MP3" overwrote the per-file rows. And the names it searched for were hard-coded from an older game. Fixed: all 12 authors CHEF! owes a credit are now found in the game's own files.
  • A general-use shelf now holds sounds worth reusing across games, and it ships with every game's delivery. It takes public-domain (CC0) files only, because a credit-required file there would put a credit line into every game that borrows it.
  • Approved means good stock, not "for this one sound". Several sounds approved during a search for a studio sting were generic power-ups and menu clicks, so they went on the shelf and out to the game rather than waiting for a purpose.
  • Pixabay's terms were read before anything was built, and they ruled it out for a brand sting. Its licence forbids using its content as part of a trade mark, and a sting that plays ahead of every game is an audio logo. It stays an option for ordinary sound effects.
