The title filter was doing triage's job. A job listing whose title reads like transformation, enablement, operations or program work, but never says "AI", used to pass only when its description was full of AI wording. Job alert emails carry a one-line description, so nearly all of their listings were thrown out before any model saw them.
Now those titles go through. The scorer still ranks them by how AI-heavy the listing is, and the AI models' triage votes decide which are worth a look. Titles that are clearly out of scope (engineering, sales, research) are still dropped, and so is anything under the pay floor, on-site or outside the US.
Measured before choosing. Loosening only these titles roughly two and a half times the list on a real day. Letting through every title with a manager or lead word would have multiplied it twelvefold, mostly with noise, and the triage cost with it.
Later the same day: engineering, sales and research titles are no longer dropped either. The department a role sits in says little about whether it fits; an AI or agentic role inside an engineering, sales or research organization can be exactly right. Such a title now passes when it carries an AI word ("Applied AI Engineer", "Account Executive, AI"), and triage decides. A plain "Software Engineer, Payments" still doesn't. The list grew from about 400 to 630 matches.
