Daily sale email, live
- Sale Scout now emails a daily list of Steam games of a kind that just went on sale (the first watch is PvE looter shooters: games tagged both Looter Shooter and PvE). It skips DLC and only mails games that weren't on sale the day before, so a quiet day sends nothing.
- Each game is a tile with its capsule art, Steam's green discount badge, the old and new price, and its Steam review score: the full "Mostly Positive · 71% of 10,060 reviews" on wide screens, a colored dot and percentage on phones.
- The email wears the Sale Scout banner, with Neptune Vibes as the parent brand on its own band at the top and foot, in NeptuneVibes.com's navy. Gmail's phone apps had been flipping the navy to a pale violet in dark mode; the email now declares
color-scheme: light only, which Gmail's apps started honoring this month, and stays navy. - A local settings app sets what to watch (Steam tags picked by name), who gets it, when, and from which mailbox, previews or test-sends the email, and turns the daily run on or off. It runs in the background through Windows Task Scheduler and catches up if the PC was off.
