Office days read from the whole listing; source clutter removed
Job listings marked remote were really hybrid. One job board's "remote" field was set on postings that say, near the end, "three days per week in the office". The workplace check read only a listing's first 2,000 characters, so it never saw that line.
Now the whole description is read, but only for explicit terms: a number of office days a week, or a recruiter's own tag (#LI-Hybrid, #LI-Onsite). One to four days makes a listing hybrid, which is kept as a fallback and ranked lower; five days, or an on-site tag, drops it. An offered remote path ("open to remote candidates", #LI-Remote) leaves a listing as it was. The label only ever moves toward the office, never away from it.
Loose words stay ignored. An earlier attempt counted "in-person onboarding" and turned dozens of remote job listings on-site. Tested on the day's 10,700 cached listings: every sampled change quoted a real office-days line.
A job the person marked that now fails a filter says why. Its card reads "no longer matches: on-site" instead of "listing closed".
Source clutter is stripped before triage. One aggregator adds an anti-spam line with a coded tag to every listing; the tag decodes to the reader's IP address, and it was going out in prompts to outside models. It's removed now, along with a copyright line another feed appends. Apostrophes that arrived garbled ("itâs" for "it’s") are repaired.
