The Project Manager had been holding two jobs that weren't coordination: deciding which devlog posts add up to a story, and owning the studio's shared code library and its technical standards. On 2026-09-25 the Owner created a Role for each.
The Communications Manager now groups devlog posts into stories, with the full history kept one click away, and will later carry them to outside channels. Its first finding was that the studio already had a story mechanism, built weeks earlier on the games site, and had used it once.
The Platform Engineer now owns every shared library, the coding and interface standards, and port assignment. Apps ask it for shared code instead of adding their own. Its first job was an inventory, which found a website whose safety hooks had never loaded because the settings file sat one folder too deep.
The handover wasn't clean. The Project Manager missed three setup steps across the two Roles (safety hooks, devlog registration, a "How it works" page), and handed port assignment over without telling the Owner, who then ruled on it without knowing. Each was caught by another Agent, and a checklist for creating a Role now covers all seven steps.
