The moving clips in the devlog are videos instead of GIFs. They look the same and play on a loop, but they're far lighter: the site's 198 clips went from 194 MB to 34 MB, and the "A Guest's Day Out" clip from 6.6 MB to 2 MB. A clip only loads and plays while it's on screen, so a long page stays quick on a phone.
Older posts keep their original GIFs in the game's own notes; the site makes the video when it builds. New clips arrive from the games as videos.
A clip with game sound has a "Sound on" button. Every clip starts muted; the sound only plays when you press it. ZEKE!'s torn-clothes clip is the first, pictured above.
ZEKE!'s demo now dresses every zeke in its own torn clothes, and CHEF!'s demo hides its Debug button with the studio's shared code.
